Dr. Daniel L. Felix was born in Bedford County, Pa., on June 2, 1947. After graduating from Chestnut Ridge High School, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Shippensburg State College in 1969. In 1973, he received a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Pennsylvania State University. He received a Letter of Eligibility for a Superintendency in 1979, and then received a Doctorate in Education Degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1997.
Dr. Felix was a head teacher at Pleasantville Elementary school from 1969-1974. He then served as an elementary school principal in the Ephrata (Pa.) Area School District from 1975-1999. From 2000-2005, Dr. Felix was a Basic Education (I & II) Associate at the Pa. Dept. of Education. He has since been an adjunct professor of education at Shippensburg University, and is currently an adjunct professor of education at both Messiah and Elizabethtown colleges.
Dr. Felix currently resides in Mechanicsburg, Pa. He is married (Joyce), and has two sons.
Gene Wentz is Dr. Felix’s father-in-law. A Scout for E Company: 1944 is his first book.
